Your Bathing Experience

(Punch Tree Lodge Cabin ONLY)

Our guests simply love a relax in our Wood Burning Hot Tub for Two.

It’s tranquil, peaceful and beautiful.

On arrival, all guests must have a short Introduction about how to:

Operate the Fire & Temperature and the overall logistics of our Tub, for Health and Safety. We will show you how to light the Hot Tub safely, if you wish to do so yourselves. We recommend that you read our Ts&Cs that you will receive before your stay, so that you understand the do’s & don’ts of the Tub.

For just £16.00, we offer a Pre Light Service (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) whereby, we can light the Hot Tub for you in advance of your arrival or during your two night stay. We ask that you organise this in advance with an estimated ‘time for tub’ as it takes time to heat up!

In Summer: Our Hot Tub heats up within 1.5 hours

In Winter: Our Hot Tub heats up within 2.5 hours

We realise it’s alot of information to remember…so if you are lighting our Hot Tub, here’s a Video for you to look back on! We also have written instructions in your Cabin and at the Tub.

NB: Your Tub will be emptied and refreshed on a daily basis. We do not recommend bathing in water that has cooled down and then reheated from the night before (see Ts&Cs).

Top Tip: Add Fire Lighters, Kindling, then Big Logs!

Make sure the Vent is Open for Air Flow.

Look after your Fire!

Top Tips on our Wood Burning Hot Tub

  • Prepare your Fire with Fire Lighters and Kindling. Let it catch light before slowly starting to put on Big Logs

  • Ensure the LID is placed and opened correctly to allow Air Flow into the Fire

  • Keep checking your Fire every 10/15 minutes until it is up to Temperature

  • Look after your Fire at All Times

  • Before getting into the Hot Tub, stir the water. If too hot, add cold water to temperature

  • Finished with your Hot Tub? Close the Lid over and ‘Choke’ it. This will naturally put the Fire Out, don’t put water on it! NB: Also, close Lid if you are too Hot and don’t want anymore Heat!

  • Strictly DON’T: Add chemicals to water (bath foam etc), or empty the Bath at anytime

  • Only use Wood that is provided by Punch Tree Cabins. It’s Free, Cut to Size and Dry!

  • If weather is extreme: Met Office Warning/Thunder & Lightning/Heavy Winds & Rain..we recommend you do not go into your Tub, for Health & Safety

  • We recommend if you are pregnant or have blood pressure issues, you enter at your Own Risk
